The team behind Dewdrop have been working in financial services for over 25 years, advising clients of Lakeside FS, one of Yorkshire’s largest financial advice firms. As well as managing over £200,000,000 of investments for 850 families we are entrusted to manage funds for about 500 clients of other firms of financial advisers.

Whilst the Dewdrop service is available to anyone, it was initially established for people wanting to access the Lakeside investment portfolios where paying for advice would make investing less accessible.

The Dewdrop portfolios are based on the same principles and tactical decision making that Lakeside clients have benefitted from for over 15 years, but there are some key differences which you should be aware of. The Lakeside FS portfolios include some more complex investments which we feel are only suitable for advised clients, as well as some “actively managed funds” where we use fund screening to try and identify managers who can outperform their peers, both strategies increase complexity and cost and so do not fit with the Dewdrop ethos of lower cost, simplified portfolios and products.

Additionally, should you wish to discuss our advised portfolios we would be happy to do so, we generally consider them cost effective for new clients where they are investing over £100,000 into investments or £150,000 into pensions.
